Evaluation of Rural Water Supply Schemes in Selected Communities in Oke-Ogun Area, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Abstract
The study examine water supply schemes in selected communities in Oke-Ogun area. Data were collected through primary and secondary sources. A total of 450 structure questionnaire were administered through systematic random sampling to solid information from household heads in the area. The study reveals that female respondents were higher than males, and majority engaged in farming activities with low income. Hand-pump wells and boreholes were the major water facilities in the area. Majority of the water facilities were in the state of disrepairs. The study therefore recommended some management strategies in order to improve the sustainability of water schemes in the study area.
